|Black Sclera Contact Lenses|
Yeesh, first post of 2013! I'm sorry.>_< I have reason, but I'll make another post shortly, because this post is to review two pairs of Sclera Lenses I received from
So! For anyone who doesn't know what Sclera Contact Lenses are, they're lenses that entirely cover the visible part of your eye! They come in a variety of styles and colours and you've almost definitely seen them on TV or in movies. They're great for cosplay, halloween, or if you're like me, just for spicing up your look!
The styles I'm reviewing are the full black scleras and the "negative" or "white out" scleras.
So, I was SUPER excited to get these. I mean, I really can't explain how excited. I've wanted a pair of black scleras LITERALLY since I was 10 years old, but in previous years I couldn't find them any cheaper than about $200 PER LENS, aka $400 for the pair, and that was without any shipping costs that might have come up.
The good thing about this site is you get what you see. There are no hidden postage costs, and they even provide a little free lens care pack which I thought was a lovely touch! And I liked that they were within Europe since I'm from the UK and most companies are based in America, and I'm incredibly impatient so waiting for them to be shipped would have killed me haha!

Communication with the owner of the site is fantastic, they're incredibly helpful and friendly.
So onto the lenses! Now, scleras won't be for everyone, and I suggest you at least wear normal lenses for a while first, don't jump straight to the scleras if you're a contact lens virgin haha!
They aren't painful at all to me, but they do feel a little bit odd when you first wear them! Even now for the first 3 minutes or so after putting them in my eyes feel a little bit odd, but after that I'm perfectly fine and can easily go on about my day without paying any attention to them.
By the way, I'm not sure what happened in the bottom pictures, for some reason the lighting made one side of the image lighter.o-o

If you have any questions at all about sclera lenses or my experience with them, post a comment on this entry (You don't need to have an account and its possible to leave questions anonymously) and I'll make a big post answering them! I also plan on taking some videos of them, unfortunately my current video camera really isn't doing the job, but I should be getting a new one soon, so expect videos in the near future.:)
So from this point on, I think I'll let the pictures do the talking! Enjoy.:)
